Happy Easter to one and all!

WHITE HOUSE FARM – During exploratory digs by Southern Water for the proposed sewage pipe to Tangmere, what is believed to be a Bronze Age settlement has been discovered. This will require further archaeological investigation and it is uncertain what effect this will have on the time line for development.
The negotiations for the purchase of land along the route of the proposed Southern Access Route are said to be progressing satisfactorily.

STREET PARTY
The date is now confirmed as Sunday 2nd July starting at noon. Further details nearer the time.

NEWSLETTER – The next Bulletin will be for June as the printed Newsletter will be distributed next month to all residents and will contain up to date information.

TANNERY CLOSE – There is some movement in this long saga. Further details in the newsletter.

PLANTERS – The treasurer will be attending the meeting at the City Council Offices on 12th April to collect the cheque for our grant.

Our planters will be prepared and planted the weekend of the 20-21 May under the watchful eyes of Penny Tomlinson, our planter adoptees and John Corrigan, gardening advisor. Any residents able to help with the physical side (emptying the beds, wheeling redundant soil to the skip) would be a huge help.  Anyone with a wheelbarrow or shovels that we could borrow for the w/e would also help. It would be great if any residents could provide refreshments at some point. Of course we don’t expect people to be available all w/e – any number of hours would be greatly appreciated. Contact Penny now: 07929 285927 or pjmt@bitinternet.com. Thank you!

BREWERY FIELD – A moth count will take place on the morning of Saturday 20th May from 9 till 11am.

DONT FORGET at the Crate & Apple – Next Coffee morning from 10.00am on Saturday April 1st – just turn up. Knit and Natter every Monday 10am. Bavardage au Pub last Monday in the month, 6.30pm. Finally, Local suppers (£12) continue every Wednesday evening. People usually gather about 6.00 and sit down at 6.30pm. Please pre-book as this avoids wasting food.

As owner (since 2009) of a flat at Westgate Lodge I’d like to encourage residents there to get involved with the Westgate Residents’ Association. We have an AGM coming up and I’ll print out for distribution at Westgate Lodge some of the information you have on your web site. Do you have any comments I should add?
I belong to Whyke Residents’ Association (where I live). Would I qualify to come to meetings of Westgate RA?
