The Bates 1832 pipe organ in St Bartholomew’s Church in Mount LaneSTOP PRESS! Westgate Christmas Party – Wednesday 13th December

This was a sell-out last year and this year, carols will be sung!

We are very pleased to be able to report that the Bishop has approved the use of St Bartholomews for the Carols prior to our Christmas Party. Alan Thurlow, the retired Cathedral organist, has been testing the organ which has not been played for some time.

So – a Carol Singalong in St Bartholomews Church on Mount Lane will be led by Alan Thurlow and the WRA Choristers (volunteers welcome and everyone bring a chair please), starting at 1800, followed by the Christmas Supper from 1945 in the Crate & Apple

Detailed elements of the organisation of the evening will be firmed up by our party organising committee at their meeting on the 6th November. Ticket arrangements will also be made then and published when the flyers promoting the event are distributed.
